Position Details
We are looking for a designer to add to our talented engineering and design team. This position will utilize company design standards and best practices to create 3D models and 2D fabrication drawings. Some of the responsibilities of this position are as follows:
• Produce detailed drawings for fabrication
• Create models for equipment with limited help from engineers
• Make decisions on design parameters with limited help from engineers
• Use design tables, configurations, Excel, etc. to create tools to increase efficiency of designs
• Use and input data into PDM system
• Work with customers to determine system layout
• Design and create jigs, fixtures, and other tools to be used in the shop
• Update fabrication drawings based on redline comments from the shop
• Use AutoCAD to create P&ID and PFD drawings
• Work with sales to create models and GAs for potential customers
• Input data into ERP system for BOM creation and ordering
Desired Experience and Skills
- Bachelors degree in Engineering with 1-5 years of experience Knowledge and experience in
- Associates degree that is CAD or Mechanical Design related with 3-8 years of experience
- Knowledge and experience in sheet metal fabrication and/or structural design
- Detail oriented with strong writing skills
- Strong skills with SolidWorks
- Experience with SolidWorks Sheet Metal and Weldment modules are a plus
- Experience with SolidWorks PDM is a plus
- AutoCAD experience would be beneficial
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Teams, etc.)
- Ability to communicate with coworkers
- Experience with ERP systems, specifically JobBOSS2 is a plus
